Dinner · 25 min · Serves 4 · Easy · Best with Dark Robust maple syrup
Juicy pan-seared pork chops with a sticky maple-mustard glaze. A weeknight dinner that tastes like a weekend.
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 3 tbsp pure maple syrup (Dark Robust)
- 2 tbsp whole grain mustard
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- Fresh thyme for garnish
Method
- Pat pork chops dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear pork chops 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- While chops sear, whisk together maple syrup, both mustards, garlic, and vinegar.
- Pour glaze over the chops. Reduce heat to medium and cook 2–3 minutes, spooning sauce over the meat.
- Transfer skillet to a 400°F oven for 5–7 minutes until chops reach 145°F internal temp.
- Rest 5 minutes before serving. Spoon pan sauce over the top and garnish with fresh thyme.
| Tip: Dark Robust maple has the bold character to stand up to mustard and garlic without getting lost. |
