This is my second order from the Maple Shop in Lake Placid. I first visited them in person. Their staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I loved tasting the different grades of syrup. We always use pure maple syrup at home, but generally use the lighter amber. Lilly convinced me to try the very dark and I loved it. It was very rich with full bodied maple flavor. I always thought it would on the bitter side. Unfortunately, we live in south central Pennsylvania and the very dark is rarely available to us to purchase locally.

We bought Cream less than a week ago and it is gone already. We used it in a butternut squash recipe and it was excellent. We also used it in a cookie recipe which gave the cookies a nice flavor.
