Japanese Rose Syrup
This Japanese Rose Syrup is specially made from a unique rose cultivar named Sahime, produced by an artisan rose producer. The special rose exhibits enticing floral notes and a fruity-sweet aroma.
The syrup is made with beet sugar from Hokkaido and the Sahime rose essence that has been extracted by boiling down the rose petals. The result is a syrup that maintains its original aroma and gentle sweetness whether enjoyed as a cordial, mixed as an elegant cocktail, or as a luxurious topping for desserts.
This rose syrup is versatile and easy to use in many dishes and drinks. To use as a cordial for refreshing drinks, simply add to taste; a typical amount is to add 1-2 tablespoons of syrup to a glass of sparkling or still water. The rose syrup can also be used to elevate sparkling wine, cocktails or mocktails, as well as to sweeten black tea. To make your own aromatic and flavorful dressing, mix the rose syrup with vinegar. Drizzle some over yogurt, ice cream, pancakes, or shaved ice. You can even mix it with pancake batter to add rose flavor, or use it as an ingredient for rose-flavored ice cream.

from 17 reviewsI don’t even like pretzels, but these maple brown butter pretzels are addicting! I can’t get enough of them!
This hot drink the morning is my happy place. Delicious. The perkiness lasts most of the day—I never notice that I am tired or any let down feeling. thank you!
This is my second order from the Maple Shop in Lake Placid. I first visited them in person. Their staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I loved tasting the different grades of syrup. I determined that Dark is my favorite. I use it to sweeten my coffee since I have some gut issues--which it has helped. I also liked the Amber. Highly recommend The Maple Shop!
Perfection. After a trip to Lake Placid, my Southern children have to have this syrup! It's the best!
So happy to still be able to order South meadow maple works products. Tastes great. Thank you!
We always use pure maple syrup at home, but generally use the lighter amber. Lilly convinced me to try the very dark and I loved it. It was very rich with full bodied maple flavor. I always thought it would on the bitter side. Unfortunately, we live in south central Pennsylvania and the very dark is rarely available to us to purchase locally.
Love the hockey player. Am saving syrup until Christmas morning. But love the bottle
Very friendly staff. Plenty of opportunity to sample before you buy. Yum!
I love the very dark maple syrup. It has a bold, rich flavor. When in the shop over the summer I tried them all. I love buying local businesses that bring an outstanding product like The Maple Shop
No watered down maple syrup here! Only the best available.
Very friendly owner who helped us make great choices in the maple syrup we picked out as well as the candy and maple cream
We bought Cream less than a week ago and it is gone already. We used it in a butternut squash recipe and it was excellent. We also used it in a cookie recipe which gave the cookies a nice flavor.
I love the Amber Maple Syrup. It is so good on pancakes and French Toast.
