Maple Glazed Salmon
Maple and salmon are a natural pairing — the richness of the fish balances the sweetness of the syrup, and the glaze caramelizes beautifully under broiler heat. Dark Robust syrup is ideal here: its bold, slightly bitter finish cuts through the fat and creates that irresistible lacquered crust. This is a 20-minute weeknight dinner that looks and tastes like it took much longer.

Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 3 tbsp pure maple syrup (Dark Robust)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper
- Sliced green onions & sesame seeds to finish
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil and grease lightly.
- 2Whisk maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon, garlic, and ginger together into a glaze.
- 3Season salmon with salt and pepper. Place on prepared baking sheet skin-side down.
- 4Brush generously with glaze, reserving some for basting.
- 5Broil 6–8 minutes, brushing with reserved glaze halfway through, until glaze is caramelized and salmon is cooked through.
- 6Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over rice or with roasted vegetables.
Pro Tip: Don't walk away from the broiler. The glaze can go from perfectly caramelized to burned in under a minute — watch it closely in the last 2 minutes of cooking.
